Health is wealth
The meaning of most common saying “health is wealth” is very
simple and easy. It means our good health is the real wealth of our life which
gives us good physique and mind and enables us to whole life by managing its
all challenges. Good health promotes a good mental, physical and social health.
I completely agree with this saying that health is actually a true wealth as it
helps us at all. A good health keeps us away from the metal and physical
disabilities as well as other medical conditions including cancer, diabetes,
heart disease, fatal disease, etc.
A physically or internally unfit person has to face lot of
challenges in the whole life even she/he has to be depending on someone else
for performing daily basic needs. This situation is quite embarrassing for one
who faces it. So it is good at all to maintain a good health forever to be
happy forever without anyone’s help. It’s true that to maintain good health we
need money and to earn money we need good health. But it is also true that without
money we can live life and without a good health we cannot live life happily.
Because our good health helps us all the time and encourages us to do something
better in our life, instead of earning money only.
In such a busy life and polluted environment, is it very
hard for everyone to maintain a good health and live healthy life. It needs a
careful watch and regular medical check-up to get health.
Importance of physical exercise
Each of us has a physical body made of muscles, blood, bones
and various other living tissues. When any of these are injured or not working
other properly then we get ill. Nobody likes to be ill. So it is important that
we keep our body healthy.
Exercising the body is one way of keeping it healthy. If we
do not exercise then our muscles become weaker and we are less able to do
things properly. Also the bones can become weaker and break easily.
There are many types of exercise that we may participate in.
we may play badminton, football, netball or whatever games that we prefer. E
may also jog, walk, swim or climb a mountain. Older folks prefer less strenuous
exercises like tail chi, yoga or leisure stroll in the park. For the really fit
young people there are rock-climbing, gymnastics and other physically demanding
activities.
We exercise to keep the body healthy. However there are some
who overdo things and end up injuring themselves. It is fine to jog for a few
kilometers. It is madness to job until we are exhausted. Also they are people
who become addicted to their exercises. They become unhappy when they are
unable to exercise or when they lose to someone in a competition.
Keeping a healthy lifestyle
Living a healthy lifestyle is the top priority for many
people. Yet, today because of our busy schedules and hectic lives. We are
unable to live a health lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle includes eating balanced
meals, having regular exercise, getting enough sleep and having some
recreational activities.
Talking balanced meals with the right amount o
carbohydrates, proteins, fruit and vegetables is vital for a healthy lifestyle.
Regular exercise will not only keep your body trim and fit but it will also
reduce your risk of developing heart disease and diabetes. Exercising on a
daily basis for at least 30 minutes per day will do wonders for your healthy.
You should sleep for about 7 to 8 hours a day. Doing so will
help your body to replenish itself. Lack of sleep will make you feel tired. It
will also affect your concentration. Take part is recreational activities.
There should be a balance between work or study and leisure. Remember, “All
work and no play makes lack a dull boy”.
The same time, keep away from unhealthy habits and
activities. Stop smoking as it harmful to health. Not only doe smoking cause
life-threatening diseases like heart disease and long cancer, it will also
cause wrinkles and lead to premature aging.
